National Park " Mochima"

The national park Mochima is located in the north-eastern of Venezuela, between the populations of Barcelona, Puerto La Cruz and Cumana.

It occupies the borders of the coast with zones of mountain, deep water coasts, white sand beaches, coral reefs, islands and small barrier islands.

with a surface of 94,935 hectares , it was declared in 1973 as national park.

the main group of islands, includes:

The borrachas, the chimanas and las Caracas.

some of the islands are surrounded by coral reefs and offer a good alternative for snorkeling.
in this park the waters are warm and generally calm, in has abundant marine life
